An Electrical driven chemical injection system is a system that usually has a low to medium pressure pump suitable for transferring all kind of chemicals from a storage tank to a injection point e.g. a flowline or process line.
The pump usually has a manual adjustable knob to adjust the stroke which will have direct influence on the flowrate of the injection pump. It is also possible to have electronic actuator to adjust the flow rate with a 4-20mA signal. If required the actual flow rate can be measured with a variable area flow meter.
These systems are often used for low to high flow and high to low pressure. Very important is to match the material and seal selection with the chemicals. In some situations that will mean that exotic materials will be required like e.g. Hastelloy C-276. But in most cases 316SS will be good enough.
